D1/ Pick up service at hotel (lobby)you stay around Yogyakarta city in the morning 09:00 am,trip briefing and transfer to Selo around 1500 m.Lunch,registration and report, break and repacking at Selo, then commence the trek heads for camp site around 2400 through path of local farm, mountain forest, and sub alpine ecosystem.You have the opportunity of seeing local green landscape, sweeping view of other volcanoes surrounding such volcano Merbabu, and twin volcanoes Sumbing and Sindoro.Upon arrival at camp site, we proceed to higher point where we could see summit structure of Merapi, and better view of sunset, then descend back to camp site.
Lunch at basecamp,overnight by tent,next hike briefing and dinner at camp site.Transfer 2,5 hours.Actaul hike 3,5 - 4 hours.(L,D)
D2/After having a glass of warm tea/cereal,bread and dryfruit, then proceed trekking head for Pasar Bubra and crater rim through more rocky path that's mostly loose volcanic rock leading to old crater Pasar Bubrah,then proceed to rim of new crater (if status Merapi permit) of Merapi through more loose volcanic material mostly volcanic sand, and solfatar field.Upon arrival on new crater's rim, a stunning view awaits.Below you is sensational view of new volcanic crater, while on other side is closest view of volcano Merbabu, and on east side is volcano Lawu in far distance.After sunrise, we begin the descent back and take break plus breakfast before proceeding the descent back to Selo where our car is waiting for transferring you return to Yogyakarta city.Arrive Yogyakarta city approx 12:00.
