VOLCANIC HAZARD: 1.Bright Lava.2.Pyroclastic flow 500 m - 1500 m.
Previously classified active volcano type B. After more than 400 year in calm,volcanic activity of Sinabung increased,spewing out ash/dust due to phereatic eruption on August 27, 2010 as first phase of it's eruption,then followed by more and more frequency of eruptions.On Sept 15,2013 dust eruption of Sinabung followed by spewing out bright lava.So far, most of eruptions followed by pyroclastic flow,it's flow distance was recorded 500 m - 1500 m.Due to recent eruption 2010,Sinabung then classified as active volcano type A.
