This hike commence in foothill of southern slope of volcano Merapi at Turgo sub-village, about 1 hour drive from city of Yogyakarta. We hike cross village, enter to tropical mountain forest of Merapi with an array of native flora and fauna leading us up to best view point of the hill.
Along the way up, we also experience fresh air and tranquility of the Merapi forest environment which is safe from the impact of Merapi's explosive eruption 2010.Upon arrival on view point, take rest while enjoying the local warm tea plus snack and take look of volcano Merapi's summit.If lucky..we'll see eagle flying around the valley below.
After sight seeing on view point, we then commence walk down head for Turgo hiking basecamp through Merapi's tropical mountain forest to transfer you return to Yogyakarta city. Departure in early morning 05:00 am to catch most possible better weather for better view on view point.Get back Yogyakarta in the afternoon 12:00.
