VOLCANIC HAZARD: 1.Bright Lava.2.Pyroclastic flow 500 m - 1500 m.
Previously classified active volcano type B. After more than 400 year in calm,volcanic activity of Sinabung increased,spewing out ash/dust due to phereatic eruption on August 27, 2010 as first phase of it's eruption,then followed by more and more frequency of eruptions.On Sept 15,2013 dust eruption of Sinabung followed by spewing out bright lava.So far, most of eruptions followed by pyroclastic flow,it's flow distance was recorded 500 m - 1500 m.Due to recent eruption 2010,Sinabung then classified as active volcano type A.
SINABUNG ERUPTIONS 2014:
At beginning of year 2014, alert level of volcano Sinabung still on level 4.Till January.3 . 2014 there were recorded Lava flow and pyroxlactic . On next day January.4 ,2014 there were recorded several earthquake,eruption, and pyroclastic flow continuously till next day.A dark giant ash clouds coming out from the crater was seen from Karo district,and Molten lava also rolls down from the crater of the volcano during eruption on Oct. 8, 2014, following earlier eruption on Oct. 5, 2014.

Sinabung also recorded Phreatic at beginning of it's eruption phase 2010.
